LOCAL DELIVERY

White Glove Delivery

We are happy to help you coordinate delivery with one of our white glove delivery partners. These companies will pick up your item(s) from us, securely wrap them, and place them exactly where you want within your home. They also offer assembly and removal of old items for an additional fee.

These professional services are fully insured and offer flexible delivery options including weekends. Pricing varies depending on your location and the scale of the delivery. Customers are responsible for payment directly to the delivery company.

Curbside Delivery

If you live near the store, curbside delivery is available for a $25 flat fee on Mondays and Fridays from 9:30am - 4:00pm.

Our delivery zone covers North to Howard St., East to Lake Michigan, South to Irving Park Rd., and West to Western Ave.

The $25 delivery fee is paid directly to the driver via cash, Venmo, or Zelle.

IMPORTANT! Before scheduling a curbside delivery, please familiarize yourself with these policies:

  • Curbside delivery means your items are brought to the curb outside your address. Please ensure you have proper support (straps, dolly, muscle) for getting the items into your home as our drivers cannot assist with lifting or carrying.
  • District is not liable for any injuries or damage that occur once the items are delivered to your curb.
  • Extra large or heavy pieces may not be eligible for curbside delivery due to the size constraints of our van and limitations of our team.

FURNITURE & LARGE ITEM PICKUP

To protect your investment (and your back!) we highly recommend scheduling delivery with a professional delivery company. Just ask us for recommendations and assistance.

You may also pickup your items yourself. All furniture and large item pickups must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Please see scheduling information below.

Important Pickup Tips:

  • Measure your vehicle to ensure your items will fit through doors and can travel securely inside. Ask us if you need info on measurements and how the item will be prepared. We can partially assemble or disassemble some items for transit.
  • Bring the right help for the job. We love to help, but for safety reasons, District staff are limited in the amount of weight they can lift and may not be able to assist with loading large or heavy items into vehicles. Please be sure to bring the help you need if you are doing a self-pickup.
  • Bring packing and wrapping materials to protect your item(s) in transit. District does not provide wrapping materials. We recommend bringing things like blankets and tape. Contact us if you have any specific questions on how to best transport an item.

SCHEDULING PICKUP & DELIVERY

All furniture and large item pickups and deliveries must be scheduled in advance. Please contact us to arrange pickup or delivery once you receive notification your order is ready. We cannot guarantee your item will be available for pickup or delivery unless a time is arranged with us at least 24 hours in advance.

Hours

Pickups and deliveries will be scheduled during our regular business hours. Our workshop is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Please keep in mind that weekend availability may be limited for especially large items stored off-site.

Location

The pickup location will be confirmed when scheduling, either at the store or our off-site workshop.

For pickups at the store, you may park in our lot. Enter through the Walgreen's parking lot and head south down the alley.

Orders may be held at our workshop location as the store has limited space.

In-stock purchases: 72 hours from date of purchase

Special orders: 5 business days from arrival notification

Extended Pickup Storage Fees

If you need additional time to arrange pickup or delivery, we offer short-term storage at $10/day or $50/week until the items are picked up. Storage is subject to availability.

LONG DISTANCE DELIVERY

Shipping furniture and other large items outside of the Chicago metro area can be done on an individual basis. If you are an online customer and wish to have something shipped to your home, please contact us for a cost and lead time quote.

We cover the cost of shipping from the vendor to the store on all special orders. Some vendors will drop ship directly to a customer's home for an additional fee while others may require delivery to the retailer.

Many customers also use online shipping service marketplaces like uShip to coordinate long distance deliveries from Chicago.
