The Vintage Chicago Project
Over the last 12 years we have found and refinished over 1000 pieces of vintage furniture. With every piece comes a story and every now and then we find a piece of that story within the furniture.At first we would find things, give a little chuckle and then throw it in a box.
Over the years that box grew and grew until we decided to tell this story. Each found photograph has been scanned in at an extremely high resolution and cleaned up. We work with a local printer that uses a specialized dye sublimation printing process onto chromaluxe board (chromaluxe board is a glossy 1/4” inch composite wood hard board made specifically for dye sublimation). Each piece is finished off with a 1/2 inch float mount backer so they are ready to hang immediately.
