Yesterday I went on a buying trip through Indiana and Michigan and boy was it fun! By the end of the trip I literally had about 2 inches around me in the van to drive home. It wasn't the most comfortable ride, but I sure was smiling the whole ride home because of all my great finds! Here are most of them. I still have an extendable dining table and an industrial steel desk in my car that I am waiting for help to take it out.
Please notice these standout pieces from an artist I found in Indiana. He took vintage, steel air return vents and soldered legs onto them to make end tables! I have 3 of them. Also he took a vintage tool chest and cut wood in a diagonal pattern to fit the top. Such amazing pieces!!
I definitely took the youthful approach on this vintage desk chair! Made by Goodform / General Fireproofing Company in the 1950's this industrial chair has been given a new life. All new cushions, fill and upholstery and boy is it comfy! The chocolate fabric is covered in robots for the techy / artsy / nerd in us all. ;-)

I had a lot of fun transforming this piece! At first I had it solid robins egg, and I decided I wanted more. I always see those vintage steel tanker desks and love the wear on them and I wanted to emulate that same feel with this wooden desk. Six coats later I believe I have accomplished just that! 5 drawers in total (the top 2 end drawers look like two separate, but they are actually single deep drawers) The back is finished as well to be able to float the desk in a room if you'd like. This will definitely make a statement in your home office!

Quite the eye catcher! This solid wood structure is one piece and features a fold down desk, 2 drawers, a cabinet for hidden storage and plenty of shelving space to display your treasures! The back side is as beautiful as the front in case you wanted to float this or use as a room divider. Measurements are 60 wide X 70 high

This is a beautiful vintage Mid Century piece! Made by Bassett about 50 years ago, this desk held its style! The whole desk has been repurposed and looks like new again. There are 3 drawers on the left side and one in the front right. It is a nice solid sturdy piece. The top and sides have been painted a bright white and the legs and drawers have been restored to the original finish. A really nice contrast.
Measurements are 46 X 18 X 30 high.
